Lawson’s company was started in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio in 1939 to sell milk and operated in the area until it was sold to Japan in 1974. 2 Vintage Half Gallon Pyro Milk Bottles in Carrier Dairy Name: Lawson's.Dairy Location: Cleveland, Ohio area with stores even over here in Western Pennsylvania back in the day.Dairy Slogan(s) and Other Lettering: Same graphic on both sides with Lawson's milk can logo:Wherever there sLAWSON SHALF GALLONyou pay lessfor milk!Embossed around bottom rim:HALF GALLON LIQUID REG SEALED keystone symbol OBO plus some harder to read smaller numbersEmbossed twice around neck on one of the bottles:1/2 GALEmbossed on bottom of one of the on bottom of the other Half Gallon. Height: The bottles stand about 10 inches high. Graphics: Pyro graphics on two sides of bottles. Other lettering molded in glass.Graphics Condition: The pyro graphics look good with mostly light wear and are entirely readable. See photos.Glass Condition: Washed. Normal wear from use. Good looking. Case & carrier scuffs are fairly light on one bottle and at a more moderate level on the other. No major chips, cracks or significant flaws were observed but there is a large flea bite (small chip if you prefer) on the top of the rim on one bottle.Carrying Handle: Blue plastic handles branded HAYNES MFG. CO. CLEVELAND, OHIOCarrier Details: The carrier is designed to hold two half gallon bottles of the type included. It is almost 11 inches high, about 8 3/4 inches long and about 5 1/2 inches wide. I don't know when or where the carrier was made, but I have owned it since the early 1990s. There is typical wear from use including some bends in the metal and some minor rust. The carrier hand grip has some discoloration probably from having tape or something wrapped around it one time. The hand grip appears to be removable Additional Comments: The white pellets you see inside the bottles are included with the bottles. Bottle cap pogs from a different dairy are sitting loosely on top of the spouts to help keep the dust out.
