Extremely rare milk bottle from Purdue creamery. Workers at the creamery were instructed to destroy remaining bottles when the creamery closed. There are very few remaining and rarely come up for sale. Bottle is in good shape with no major chips or cracks. The bottle does show some normal wear from usage. eBay BOOKMARK MY STORE AS I WILL BE LISTING LOTS MORE ITEMS Here is a very scarce, 1930s era, pint size milk bottle standing 7.25 inches tall. It is embossed SCOTT'S DAIRY Jersey Products TROY, MO. in a front slugplate ONE PINT LIQUID above the slugplate. It has REGISTERED on the front heel; SEALED BB52 etc on the back heel. The back shoulder has a triangle that says 7 MINN inside. It is in great shape with no chips, cracks, or dings. There is a generic milk bottle cap in the top. Another tough one to find! 1920s Embossed MILK Bottle WYNFROMERE DAIRY FARM in GREENS FARMS Westport CT
Embossed quart milk bottle from Wynfromere Dairy Farm in Greens Farms, Connecticut, circa 1920s to 1930s. The words One Quart, Liquid, (inside a circle) Wynfromere Dairy Farm, Greens Farms, Ct., are embossed on the front There is also an embossed MTC on the back heel and an embossed D in a circle under the bottom. Greens Farms is a neighborhood in the town of Westport, and there is a street there named Wynfromere Avenue. There are only a couple of references to this farm on the internet. A history of Greens Farms mentions that it was originally the farm of Captain Lyman Banks. There is also an add offering a couple of prize cows for sale in The Jersey Bulletin in 1918, placed by Starr B. Hoyt, superintendent of Wynfromere Dairy. Starr Benedict Hoyt (1865-1932) lived in Westport in 1917, and he gave his occupation as Milk Man in the military census. He also appears in the 1920 Census in Westport, listed as Farm Superintendent. There were two dairy workers on the farm, as well a gardener for the estate. I can find no other examples of milk bottles from this farm. It is just over 9 ¼” tall and is about 3 ½” in diameter at the base. The milk bottle in only fair to good condition with a good bit of case wear and signs that it was dug—some rust stains, dirt, and a bit of iridescence and haze. No chips or cracks. A very rare Greens Farms CT milk bottle! (Condition: Pre-Owned)

For sale here is an older, vintage, scarce, clear, tall, round, embossed, quart milk bottle from Sparrows Point, Maryland. Baltimore County. This dairy sold and supplied milk to the workers at Bethlehem Steel. The bottle is embossed SERVICE STORES / CORP. on the front shoulder and SPARROWS POINT / MD. on the back shoulder. S on base. Dated 1929. About 9.5 inches tall. There is a small chip on the lip as shown. Also some wear and light stain/haze from being dug. Displays nicely.
