The graphics are very nice.This is a beautiful, round, brown, pyro glazed, wide-mouth gallon milk bottle from Meadow Gold Dairy Farm, which once operated in historic Topeka, Kansas, in Shawnee County, before relocating west. The pyro glazing features different designs on the front and back. The front reads "Meadow Gold Smooth Freeze Ice Cream June Flavor Butter Golden Flake Buttermilk Silver Seal Milk." The back depicts a man holding a glass of milk with the words, "Drink our Buttermilk It's A Refreshing Invigorating Tonic." The pyroglaze is vibrant and complete on the front, and on the back with a chip on the rim. This authentic milk bottle is in good condition, BUT does have a chip on the rim. Measuring 10 1/2 inches tall, this wide-mouth gallon milk bottle is reportedly very hard to find. During the same period, another company was making a name in the dairy industry. On November 12, 1901, the U.S. Patent Office granted the Continental Creamery Company of Topeka a trademark for the name "Meadow Gold," chosen by employees through a contest to describe the golden quality of their fresh creamery butter.
