A: "To my memory, Pinky Pevely came into being during the years when cartoon figures like Redi Kilowatt and Speedy Alka Seltzer were the rage in advertising," says Fred Schaab, Pevely's retired marketing director, who started at the dairy as a carhop in the 1930s. "Our slogan was always White on the bottle, pink on the cheeks,' so we developed Pinky, who was always running sometimes with a carhop tray. In the mid-Sixties, when advertising became more sophisticated, we dropped Pinky." Pevely Dairy opened in the early 1880s, when founder Martin Kerckhoff started a milk and butter route from Pevely, Missouri to St Louis. The milk became known as Pevely Milk. This is a hard to find USE Pevely MILK embossed creamer with the cap. The other side is marked MILK FOR HEALTH. The creamer is 2 1/8 inches tall and in great condition with no chips or cracks. The cap does have some wear as you can see in the picture. First class shipping with tracking will be $3.95 in the US shipping out of the US must go through ebays global shipping program and the cost will be higher. It has the shape of a tall cheese jar but at a tad over a half pint I am not certain what was inside it when sitting in the Milkman's Divco. The size is at the base - 5/8 PT. A large P is on the bottom.
There are 2 bottles marked Use Pevely Milk and Milk for Health with one of these having a chip about 1/8" on the rim. The rest are unmarked. Each bottle holds is about 2 1/8" tall and the plain bottles are marked on the bottom with a B and a 5.
