Here’s a hard to find old Gallon glass milk bottle from the Chestnut Ridge Dairy that once operated in little Ellet O, which is now part of Akron. Rare one gallon bottle dating c1940. Has dairy and town name on one side and reverse says Use Chestnut Ridge Delicious Creamed Cottage Cheese. Bottle made by BB glass # 48. It’s a Very Nice Bottle but does show some wear from being used. Biggest defect is the chip to the lip/mouth of bottle as shown in my pics. It has some minor paint wear/fading to a couple places/letters. It has some scratches and other wear from use. Base has scratches too. M

Here is a Bright, Clean and Bold Embossed Quart Milk from a Smaller Soutgwestern IL town in Clinton County. This one has "ONE QUART LIQUID" on the shoulder with a slugplate below that reads, "CHESTNUT GROVE DAIRY, A, TRENTON, ILL." The reverse heel has "REGISTETED, THIS BOTTLE IS NEVER SOLD" The bottle is shiny clean, a couple minor surface rubs. There is a Small, Fingernail shaped chip on the rear heel as shown. I would think this one is Quite Scarce as I have never seen a bottle from this Dairy.
