NICE EARLY HAND BLOWN HALF GALLON AMBER COLORED TIN TOP MILK BOTTLE

eBay ~* PLEASE SEE SHIPPING TERMS BELOW *~ ~* OTHER FORMS OF PAYMENTS ARE ALSO PREFERRED HERE *~*** ****Up for sale here is a very early hand blown amber colored tin top milk bottle, from about 1900-1905. This hand blown example is sparkling clean, and near mint as seen here. It has the blank slug plate, and may have been used by the Mc Junkin-Straight Dairy, out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This bottle displays very handsomely, as seen here. Bottles like this contained buttermilk, to better preserve the product from sunlight. It has the inner lip seat for the tin top closure.*It is embossed on the back, as it reads ~ "THIS BOTTLE / TO BE WASHED / AND RETURNED / HALF GALLON". The base is plain, and the other side has the blank slug plate (unfortunately) Bottle looks like it was not used, and has no chips, checks, pings or dings in the old amber colored glass. There is an area on the neck, to where the lipping tool "rubbed" onto the neck. See all pictures, as they tell the story. Bottle is basically in mint shape. It measures 10 3/8 inches tall, and 4 7/8 inches in diameter. A very rare example for it's age, and good color.
