SOLD $50.00 Sold: Jan 10, 2024 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
eBay I collected these small milk bottles (also sour cream and cottage cheese jars) in the 1980s and now I'm downsizing and selling them as a lot. All are in perfect condition, with no chips, cracks, or scuffs. The printed colors are as bright and vivid as new. Included are 8 half-pint milk bottles, one 6-ounce milk bottle from England, two sour cream jars, and two cottage cheese jars. All are American except for the one made in the UK. I'll describe them in the order in which they appear in the photos (most of which show both front and back):(1) Cedar Farm, Westminster [Mass.], half-pint with green print. Reverse side shows emblem of a baby seated on the globe and "Building Americans with Cedar's Milk."(2) Hamilton Farm Dairy, Jefferson, Ohio, half-pint with orange print. Reverse side shows image of a rural dairy barn and motto "Where Cleanliness Prevails." (3) Shadow Brook Dairy, Tunkhannock, PA, half-pint with red print. Reverse side shows image of barn and silos. (4) Anderson Erickson Dairy Co., Des Moines, Iowa, half-pint with orange print. Reverse side shows children with AE insignia and motto "Drink More Milk, Nature's Most Nearly Perfect Food." Has postal code, so dates from 1963 or later.(5) Plains Dairy, "A. Augusto" [Valley Falls, Rhode Island], half-pint with two-color (red and green) print. Front shows four cows and reverse shows a coat of arms. Label "STORE" appears in green on both sides. (6) Silver Seal Meadow Gold, half-pint, no color, embossed. Reverse side is not shown in photos.
