Exceptionally rare and historically important, original 1885 United States Patent Office Model of a new and improved Tin Disk and Strap Lid for Closing Milk Bottles that allowed the bottle to be sealed shut using a wax seal to prevent tampering with the milk. This Milk Bottle related Patent Model retains its original US Patent Office Patent Tag and Submission Tag and uses an example of the Charles deQuillfeldt Tin Lid for Milk Bottles that was patented in 1875 and is considered to be the first bottle-related patent connected with the dairy industry.
