Rare Antique Puunene Maui H.C. & S.Co. LTD. 1 Pint Clear Glass Milk Bottle. Circa: 1948Embossed Clear Glass with Circular Design Displayed on Front of Bottle. Reads “ H.C. & S. Co. LTD. Puunene ”inside Circular Design. “One Pint” is Embossed under Circle. Backside of Bottle Reads “2600 ML 6” Bottom of Bottle is Embossed with the Letter “P” Reads Cursive Font. Also on Bottom of Bottle is the Numbers “23 and 3” with the Owens-Illinois Glass Co. Trademark Logo (Diamond/Oval) between the 2 Numbers Hawaiian Commercial and Sugar Company. 1882- Claus Spreckels of SanFrancisco incorporates and renames Hawaiian Commercial Co to Hawaiian Commercial and Sugar Co.1901- A new Sugar Mill the H.C. And S Puunene Factory is Built. Puunene Meaning “Goose Hill” in Hawaiian. Named after a small Volcanic Cove between Spreckelsville and Paia.1948- H.C. And S sell its very first Pasteurized Milk at 28 cents per quart. A small but thriving Dairy and Cattle Operations. 1951- H.C. And S Sold it’s Puunene Dairy to Haleakala Dairy. Bottle is left in it’s Original Cloudy Antique State. With Mineral Hazing Present. (Which shows it’s Lovely Age!) Wonderful Addition for Collectors! Please Note: There is One Minuscule Dark Scratch near top of Bottle that is shown in Photo #6. After Viewing through a Loop this is NOT a Crack or Chip. Only a Scratch. I did not attempt in any way to Clean or Remove. No Chips or Cracks.Bottle Stands 7.25” Tall. Smoke Free Home ? (Condition: Pre-Owned)
