Here is a nice clear glass, Round Embossed Pint, Original Thatcher Milk Jar, with original glass lid and metal clamp. Jar is embossed: Absolutely / Pure Milk / (picture of Quaker man milking a cow) / The Milk Protector. Embossed in slug plate on back: To be Used Only As Designated / Milk / & / Cream / Jar. Base is plain. Lid is embossed Patd. April 27, '86. Guaranteed Original Thatcher milk jar- always popular with collectors. Condition: Jar is Near Mint. NO chips, cracks or dings. Has some light wear from use, minor. I grade the jar a 9 to 9.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. Glass lid has wear from use and some minor nicks - see pictures above. I grade this lid a 7.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. Metal clamp has some light oxidation.
